HIGH SPEED CUTTING

The fastest 3CON cutting process is a non-thermal process that ensures clean cuts and trim edges at an impressive speed of up to 150 mm/s. The oscillating knife in the cutting head is guided along the programmed contour by means of a robot or a linear system. Cutting channels or velour holders, with or without vacuum support, serve as counter bearings. 

Materials that can be cut: foils, textiles, artificial leather, leather, etc. from 0.5 to 5 mm thickness. Cuts even sharp corners, acute angles and the smallest radii (R3) with maximum precision. The 3CON high-speed cutting process also performs trimming of materials already pre-coated with hotmelt with extreme accuracy.

The process can be integrated into

• a free-standing system without tool change,
• a free-standing FLEXXMAX MTP-System with tool change and optional sliding table or turntable,
• the FLEXXLINE MT Assembly Line

as well as other applications with robots or linear systems.
