Another important step was achieved in the 3CON success history with the start of construction of the expansion in Ebbs. The uninterrupted high customer response lead to above-average growth. All reputable automotive manufacturers and their suppliers are worldwide 3CON customers. Today, the Tyrolean family enterprise one of the world leaders in various fields of technology. To meet the increasing market demands, the construction start for the next building phase now takes place at the headquarters in Ebbs. In total, the Tyrolean family enterprise will invest EUR 22 million for the expansion of the headquarters. In addition to a cutting-edge logistics centre, (incoming goods, order picking, spare parts warehouse, high-bay warehouse system and loading area) and an air-conditioned CNC production centre, company catering will provide first-class dishes for culinary highlights to employees and customers.
The company paves its own path with its new building and designs a generous and modern company restaurant with a lounge area to maintain the feeling of “togetherness” despite the above-average growth. The guests of the modern 3CON Spirit Restaurant will be indulged by the in-house culinary team which uses ingredients almost exclusively from the region. The 3CON concept aims to provide only freshly prepared dishes by forgoing the use of pre-cooked or frozen food. It is intended as a place to exchange ideas and thoughts and one where people can go to have a beer with colleagues after work.
The apprenticeship workshop, with its apprenticeship training supervisors, will also receive a highly-modern and spacious area. Here, the cornerstone for future 3CON employees will be laid to drive the fundamental apprenticeship of young technicians forward. The issue of sustainable “Green Energy” is more than mere lip service at 3CON: On the roof of the company building, a 500 kW photovoltaic system will be installed, thus covering 50% of the daily power consumption. In addition, the 550 kW groundwater heat exchange pump supplies the power for heating and cooling. In the coming years, a parking garage with approx. 400 parking spaces will be added. From the garage, the employees can reach their workstations without being exposed to the elements. Furthermore, there is the possibility to implement an additional development of 4,500 m² production surface.
